Lemon Millfleur Sablepoot Bantam.....

Lemon Sablepoots are usually friendly and calm. They are good foragers, and do less damage to garden plants because of their feathered feet. Hens readily go broody, and lay small eggs that are white or tinted in colour. Their egg production is respectable for bantams, with hens laying particularly well late spring and through the summer.

The Sablepoot has been around for quite some time with European records going back hundreds of years. It’s an ideal breed for the garden as their feathered feet do very little damage to grass or boarders. Very attractive and very characterful birds.

Barbu d’Uccles Millfleur Bantam.....

These are small, beautiful & proud birds with their heads back & chest forward. The body is short & broad as is the back which leads to the tail which is carried high, almost upright. Wings are held so that they slope towards the ground. The beard has three parts, one each side of the face and the third below the chin.

They are very quick on their feet and the cocks in particular have great presence. They sometimes have the habit of attacking anything in sight, but usually calm down with regular attention, once they are more used to their surroundings & routine, becoming quite tame & trusting with regular handling. They can fly a bit so containing them might be a consideration.

Chocolate Orpington Bantam (Rare Breed).....

The Chocolate colour is caused by a rare gene discovered by Dr. W. Clive Carefoot but they nearly became extinct when Clive became ill but due to the good work of 3 of his freinds Rob Boyd, Grant Brereton and Richard Davies they are now far from extinct.

The Chocolate gene is a sex linked recessive mutant gene, so the females cannot hide the gene. If they possess the choc gene, they will be Chocolate. Males, however can be carriers and require two copies to be visually Chocolate. All our stocks originate from the Rob Boyd strain, 100% Chocolates both hens and cock birds so you are guaranteed the finest birds.
